What’s happening with UAP legislation? What are pilots really seeing? What real work is being done to better understand UAP? What are these things?
Hi, I’m Ryan Graves, a former U.S. Navy F/A-18 pilot, and the Executive Director of Americans for Safe Aerospace (ASA). My career in aviation and my personal experiences have driven me to better understanding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
My Journey
My decision to engage with the UAP topic was straightforward. My colleagues were having near-daily interactions with airborne objects exhibiting beyond state-of-the-art capabilities within our military training ranges. It was a matter of applying the principles and skills the Navy instilled in me as an Aviation Safety Officer. I chose not to ignore the problem.
Life has taken many unexpected turns since then, culminating in a public UAP Hearing in July 2024. From my work with the AIAA UAP Integration & Outreach Committee (UAPIOC) to growing ASA into a robust organization, I've been advocating for objective, mainstream study of UAP to enhance aerospace safety and national security.
